Incoming Storm at Pier Cove
30 X 30 inches, Oil on canvas, 2023
I am not sure why, but I have always loved looking at storms.  Looking out over Lake Michigan from Pier Cove, this painting captures the quiet electricity that precedes a storm. The water churns deep greens and blues, while distant rain streaks across the horizon.
The two trees in the foreground stand steady—a visual anchor as the drama of the sky unfolds beyond.
A meditation on nature’s power and presence.
