Dancing Birches at Wau-Ke-Na
14 X 17 inches, Oil on vellum paper, 2025
I was walking my dog Theo at Wau-Ken-Na Preserve when the striking white trunks of the birches in this vibrant autumn landscape immediately inspired me. Set against a backdrop of fiery reds and warm oranges, the trees appear to dance in place, full of character and rhythm. This piece celebrates the tension between vitality and seasonal transformation, and the vivid transitions of the landscape.
